ca. Dated 1848; The salvaged date board from a barn or homestead of Samuel and Catharine Keller, single plank mounted to original heavy oak framing members, relief carved and retains multiple layers of paint including red ground, white background and black lettering. The building was believed to be in the Springville area outside of Ephrata, PA. Samuel Huber Keller (1791-1855) was the son of Jacob Landis Keller (1761-1830) and Barbara (Huber) Keller (1763-1794). Samuel and his second wife Catharine (Koch) Keller (1791-1871) were the owners of the building that was built in 1848.; 14" x 5" x 15 3/4"; Condition: As found with extensive paint crackling and wear from exposure to weather
