ca. late 19th -early 20th century; Unsigned and unattributed primitive folk art carved standing man figure with polychrome painted surface. The figure appears to be a Native American warrior with mohawk haircut, buckskin outfit and black boots, depicted standing on a green painted block pedestal base. The single piece carving has mounted carved arms with outstretched hands and ears, flattened facial features and recessed carved eyes; 2 7/8" x 2 3/4" x 12 1/2"; Condition: figure’s right hand is damaged, possibly missing original gem eyes. The body clothing seems unfinished.
