ca. Early 19th century; Primitive PA pine arch-top hanging stepped two-tier wall pocket with old red paint. The simple stepback "catch-all" shelf is "make-do" constructed with a mix of cut, round-head and pin nails, arched top backboard with swoop and step-out cut sides and nail mounted shelf fronts. The red paint has great patina from years of wear; 11 3/8" x 7" x 18"; Condition: "As found"; Some peeling of late era added shellac surface. Good wear from use and patina.
