This Victorian-style crazy quilt is constructed from an asymmetrical arrangement of silk, satin, and velvet patches. The textiles feature varied solid, striped, and floral patterns joined by multicolored hand-embroidered feather stitching.The piece is composed of sixteen large square blocks with a light-colored cotton muslin backing and finished with dark binding. No maker marks are present on the front or reverse. 80 x 84 inches.The quilt front is in good condition with minor fraying to silk patches. The muslin backing shows significant scattered foxing and various light-colored stains. The edge binding is intact with minor wear consistent with use and age.
