Returning for one final chapter, the Morgan Dollar made its comeback in 1921 after a brief hiatus, and this 1921 Silver Morgan Dollar represents the final year of the original Morgan Dollar series. Struck in 90% silver, it contains approximately .7734 troy ounces of pure silver. George T. Morgan's iconic Liberty portrait appears on the obverse, while the reverse features the familiar eagle with outstretched wings. The Morgan Dollar was first introduced in 1878 and became one of America's most recognizable silver coins. The 1921 issue is particularly significant as the final-year Morgan Dollar and the only Morgan Dollar struck in that year. It also marks the transition from the Morgan Dollar to the newly introduced Peace Dollar.
