This collection consists of 36 pieces of vintage American sheet music dating from approximately 1910 through 1945. The assortment covers various musical genres including jazz, marches, Broadway, and motion picture soundtracks. Notabletitles include the On the Campus march by John Philip Sousa (Sam Fox Pub. Co.), Stompin at the Savoy by Benny Goodman, Chick Webb, and Edgar Sampson (Robbins Music Corporation), and the Our Director March by F.E. Bigelow. Film and popculture tie-ins are well represented with titles such as Ac-cent-tchu-ate the Positive from Here Come the Waves starring Bing Crosby and Betty Hutton, Glad Rag Doll featuring Dolores Costello, Okay Toots featuring Eddie Cantor, and JustOne More Chance featuring Ruth Etting. The collection includes niche items such as the Armstrong Quaker Rug in Every Home advertising promotional music. Other visible titles include 12th Street Rag by Euday L. Bowman, The Sneak by NacioThe collection shows typical age-related toning and yellowing of the paper. Minor scattered foxing is present on several covers, most notably on Love Letters in the Sand and On the Campus.
