19th century, Federal period timepiece by Horace Tifft (1804-1886) working in North Attleboro, Mass. Mahogany case with eglomise tablets. 8-day brass, weight-driven mechanism. Descended in the Dyke family and listed on their 1967 antique insurance policy. 32 1/2"H With key in running condition. Edge wear around base with new screws in bottom board.
