American artist from Reinholds, Lancaster County, Pa. Very well-known antique dealer who started painting in 1957 and became celebrated for her inspirational watercolor works depicting the Pennsylvania countryside. This is a well documented example of her work, completed in 1965. It depicts "My Mother's Home" , the home of her mother, Mrs. Mary F. Weinhold Klapp, presented to Sam and Mary Dyke. A color Polaroid snapshot of Hattie holding a similar painting, taken in 1967, is attached to the backing. Signed below the fence line, in front of the horse and wagon. With frame, 10 1/2"H x 12 1/2"W Excellent.
