Vintage Wittner Maelzel mechanical pyramid metronome, measuring approximately 8.75" tall. Made in West Germany, this classic wind-up metronome features a black wooden pyramid-form case with a striking yellow tempo scale and traditional weighted pendulum mechanism. The face is marked “Wittner – Made in W.-Germany” and “Maelzel Metronom.” The adjustable tempo scale ranges from approximately 40 to 208 beats per minute and includes traditional musical tempo markings including Largo, Larghetto, Adagio, Andante, Moderato, Allegro, Presto and Prestissimo. Side-mounted winding key is present. Wittner is a long-established German manufacturer particularly known for its precision mechanical metronomes, making these vintage examples desirable to musicians, piano enthusiasts, music teachers, collectors of German musical accessories, and for decorative display in a music room or studio. Measures approximately 8.75" tall. Vintage condition with age-related surface wear, scuffs, small marks and minor finish loss, particularly along some edges. Mechanical operation has not been tested for accuracy or long-term function and is sold as-is.
