Dating to the late 1970s to very early 80s, this vintage ladies' clothing lot features a striped summer dress set alongside an off-white floral lace two-piece ensemble. Manufactured by designer Fred Rothschild, the lightweight pastel-striped dress set includes a cap-sleeve button-front blouse with a notch collar and eyelet lace trim, paired with a matching tiered midi skirt featuring an elastic waist, smocked detailing, and an eyelet lace hemline; an interior tag reads "FURTHERMORE BY FRED ROTHSCHILD". The accompanying ivory ensemble comprises a spaghetti-strap camisole top overlaying a matching gathered full-length skirt, both fully lined and constructed of intricate floral lace fabric. The condition of these sets is consistent with gentle age and wear. Minor surface creasing is present throughout both outfits, alongside light fraying on inner seam allowances and mild discoloration near the waistband of the lace skirt. Striped blouse measures 17-18 in. armpit-to-armpit and 22 in. inlength; matching skirt measures 12-14 in. across the waist (unstretched) with a 29 in. length; lace camisole measures 16 in. armpit-to-armpit and 20 in. length; lace skirt measures 13 in. across the waist with a 38 in. length. There is a silken plainivory under camisole. Offering two distinct representations of 1970s romantic fashion trends, this vintage lot presents strong display appeal for theatrical wardrobes and historic apparel collectors alike.
