Dating to the late 1960s or 1970s, this men's sport coat jacket was designed by Stanley Blacker expressly for The A.M. Davison Co. of Flint, Michigan. Tailored in the United States from a heavy forest green woven wool or wool-blend hopsack fabric, the single-breasted blazer features notch lapels, a three-button front closure with subtle horn-look buttons, two decorative cuff buttons, a left chest welt pocket, dual lower flap pockets, and a single center back vent. The green herringbone-patternedsatin lining retains a woven interior label reading "DESIGNED BY stanley blacker for A.M. DAVISON FLINT, MICH." along with an ACWA union tag sewn inside the interior pocket. Condition is good overall, displaying a small wear spot/hole on the upperback exterior near the collar seam, minor tearing along the inner collar lining, and light fabric fuzzing consistent with age and use. Shoulder-to-shoulder measures 18", pit-to-pit measures 21", overall length from back collar to hem is 30", and sleeve length is 24". Featuring a rich forest green hue and classic Ivy League styling from a premier mid-century menswear designer, this jacket offers vintage dressing appeal for vintage mes wear enthusiasts.
