Dating to the 1960s, this lot features two vintage women's wool-blend mini skirts. The handmade red tartan Royal Steward plaid skirt is styled with a fully elasticated waistband and gathered A-line silhouette, lacking interior labels. Manufactured byPeerless of Boston, the burnt orange wool tweed skirt features decorative front tortoise-tone buttons, a rear zip closure with button waist tab, and a fully lined interior complete with an original woven maker tag. Both skirts present in good vintage condition with minor signs of age and wear. The tartan skirt shows light surface fuzzy wear along the elastic waistband, while the orange tweed skirt exhibits faint fabric wear near the button detail. The tartan skirt measures 13" waist (flat, un-stretched) x 18" length, and the Peerless skirt measures 12.5" waist (flat) x 18.5" length. Offering distinct mid-century preppy and mod aesthetics, this two-piece skirt lot presents excellent wearable and display value for vintage fashion collectors.
