1970s Marc Pierce Western Style Denim Leisure

Dating to the 1970s, this men's two-piece Western leisure suit set was manufactured by Marc Pierce. Constructed of blue denim cotton-blend fabric featuring contrast red topstitching, the ensemble consists of a safari-style jacket and matching flaredtrousers. The jacket is styled with exaggerated wide lapels, a four-button front closure, decorative faux chest flap detailing, vertical front seams, a Western-yoked back with side vents, and a light blue interior lining with a "Professionally Dry Clean Only" care label. The trousers feature a high-waisted fit, wide belt loops with red accent stitching, front slant pockets, rear welt pockets, a front zipper fly, and a pronounced wide flare leg. An inner breast pocket retains a woven maker labeldepicting an antique automobile motif reading "Marc Pierce". Jacket shoulders measure at 18" across, chest measures at 44 and total length is 28". High waisted flares measure at 34" waist and 32" inseam; fit appears consistent with a men's medium. Condition is consistent with normal age and light wear, displaying minor surface creasing, soft fabric fading, and light wear along the cuff and hem edges. The denim fabric, red topstitching, front buttons, zipper, and inner lining remain intact and structurally sound.
