Manufactured by Aspen, these vintage 1970s novelty overalls feature a striking split design constructed from solid red cotton denim on the left side and vintage-style "Jim Dandy Enriched Hominy Grits" feed sack printed canvas on the right. Styled with a bib front featuring a red patch pocket with a rainbow lightning bolt embroidered heart patch, the overalls incorporate adjustable cross-back shoulder straps, a side zipper with a two-button waistband closure, and a patch pocket on the rear featuring the Jim Dandy mascot. An interior maker tag displays the Aspen leaf logo alongside a care tag and size 9 label. Aspen Skiwear was primarily known as a major American outerwear and ski clothing manufacturer during the 1960s, 70s, and 80s. Exhibits good pre-owned vintage condition with minor wear consistent with age and gentle use. The printed feed sack and red denim fabrics remain bright with intact stitching throughout, showing minor surface wear near the strap buckles and light, faint agespots along the printed canvas. Measures 13" waist (flat across) 18" across hips, 27" inseam, and 56" total length (shoulder to hem, as adjusted). A rare and whimsical example of 1970s American pop-art fashion, this piece offers exceptional wearableand display appeal for collectors of vintage denim and novelty apparel.
