This 1960s men's knit cardigan sweater was manufactured by Jockey. Constructed of a fuzzy 75% worsted wool and 25% mohair blend, the cardigan features an iconic argyle diamond pattern in shades of sage green, cream, and taupe brown. The sweater is designed with a taupe ribbed knit V-neckline, front placket, hem, and cuffs, alongside five translucent front buttons and two front waist slip pockets. An inner neck label reads "Jockey, 75% Worsted Wool, 25% Mohair" with a size indicator M and a sewn-in personal name tape reading "JOHN BAGALE". Shoulders measure at 18", chest measures up to 42" unstretched and sleeves are 23" long; tag indicates size Medium (M). Condition is consistent with normal age and light wear, displaying characteristic mohair fuzzing, minor surface pilling, and light fraying around the inner neck label edges. The wool-mohair knit body, ribbed trim, buttons, and stitching remain structurally sound and intact throughout. This example showcases quintessential 1960s IvyLeague and mod menswear styling, offering exceptional display appeal for vintage clothing and mohair collectors.
