Excam TA38 .38 SPL

Updated August 24, 2026

Lot 7535 features an intriguing Excam TA38 derringer chambered in powerful .38 Special. Built with a single-action mechanism, this vintage over/under pocket pistol sports a 3-inch double barrel arrangement housing a bright, shiny bore. The sturdy frame is fitted with compact textured grip panels designed for low-profile concealment and quick handling. Maintained in good overall condition, Excam handguns gained widespread popularity during the 1970s and 1980s as accessible, compact backup sidearms that packed serious defensive power into a minimalist footprint. This unique firearm seems like it needs work to operate, offering a great restoration opportunity or addition to a derringer collection. Please see photos.
