Cedar Chest With Upholstered Bench Top

Cedar chest with an upholstered bench top, roughly 48 inches long, 19 to 20 inches deep and 29 inches tall. The interior is solid aromatic red cedar in the lid, all four walls and the floor, with the knotty red and cream boards that give cedar its moth repelling reputation. The exterior is knotty softwood in a glossy reddish brown stain with a false drawer front of two over two raised panels and six antiqued copper bail pulls with cream ceramic grip inserts. A brass keyhole escutcheon, a brass folding lid stay, a self locking lid catch and one narrow sliding interior tray lined in green felt are all fitted. No key is pictured. Note that no maker label, brand stamp or date code is visible anywhere, so this is not confirmed as Lane or Roos. Condition is fair with rust red staining across the lower lid interior, stains on the tray felt, and a dingy cushion with several dark spots. Sold as-is.
