Syncro Electric Hone, and please note a correction to the earlier listing. The data plate reads MODEL 401, not 4D. The full plate reads SYNCRO ELECTRIC HONE MODEL 401, SYNCRO CORP. OXFORD, MICH., U.S.A., and a rear tag adds C.S.A. APPROVAL NO. 8633, UL, 110-120 VOLTS 1 AMP, 60 CYCLE AC, PATENT NO. 2092187 and OTHER PATENTS PENDING. There is no serial number anywhere. The grey crackle finish cast housing sits on a rubber base with a composition honing plate held under a spring clip. This is a flat plate hone, not a wheel sharpener. One additional loose honing plate in a rubber mounted holder is included. No wheels, manual or box. Condition is fair to poor. The paint is worn to bare metal in places, the rear panel and screws carry white oxidation and rust, the top plate is scored and glazed with metal swarf, and the cord insulation is dry and cracked.
