A group of Canadian 25-cent coins struck in 80% silver (.800 fineness) at the Royal Canadian Mint, Ottawa. The group includes issues dated 1955, 1959, 1963, and 1964. The obverse of each coin features the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, designed by Mary Gillick, surrounded by the Latin legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse, designed by Emanuel Hahn, displays the profile of a caribou head with antlers, the denomination 25 cents, the country name CANADA, and the date. All specimens feature reeded edges.
