3 Figurines, Hippolyte Moreau & Alexander Backer

This collection contains three decorative figurines constructed from resin and ceramic. The first figurine is a classical female figure holding a bouquet of flowers and fruit, bearing the incised signature Hip. Moreau on the base and acircular maker stamp for the Alexander Backer Co. Inc. on the reverse. The second figurine is a large praying angel standing on a stylized cloud base, featuring a mottled red, green, and gold painted finish. The third figurine is a wingedangel with hands crossed over the chest, finished in off-white and gold tones and mounted on a dark hexagonal base. Largest piece: 23.5 inches tall.The collection shows general surface wear and light dust throughout. The classical female figurine has small chips and scuffing along the base edges. The large praying angel exhibits a small white chip on the lower front fold of its robe. Largest piece: 23.5 inches tall.
