Antonio Cirino (American, 1889-1983) Oil on board depicting a vibrant harbor scene with several boats moored by a dock. Bold impasto brushstrokes capture the reflections of the colorful boats-red, blue, white, and green-in the dynamic water, contrasted with the muted tones of the background buildings. Signed 'A. CIRINO' in the lower right corner. Presented in a multi-layered gold and red frame. Antonio Cirino was an American artist known for his fluid painting technique and deep understanding of composition. A dedicated student of nature, he painted en plein air throughout his career, approaching subjects with a personal interpretation akin to the Impressionists. The New York Times lauded his work, citing "Mooring Place" as "one of the most honest and sensitive examples of this genre." Dimensions: Unframed: 13 x 15 7/8 inches Provenance: Private collection.
