with Gondolas. Oscar Florianus Bluemner (American, 1867-1938). A vibrant colored pencil and graphite drawing on paper depicting a bustling Venetian canal lined with vividly colored red, yellow, and blue architectural facades. The composition features a prominent arched bridge and several dark gondolas reflected in the green-toned water under a lightly sketched sky. Monogrammed in the lower left. Framed. Oscar Florianus Bluemner was a German-born American modernist painter and a key figure in the Stieglitz circle. His work is recognized as a vital link between European modernism and the emergence of American Precisionism. Dimensions: Unframed: 12 x 8 3/8 inches Provenance: Private collection.
