An antique German bisque head doll manufactured by Armand Marseille, featuring the 370 mold number incised to the neck. This example was produced for the Sears, Roebuck and Co. Dainty Dorothy line, as confirmed by the original copyright1910 printed paper label on the chest. The doll is designed with a bisque socket head, blue glass sleep eyes with remnant lashes, and an open mouth with four inset upper teeth. The curly brown wig is set over a jointed kid leather body with composition lower limbs. She is dressed in an antique white cotton dotted-Swiss dress featuring lace trim and a cream silk sash, along with a matching slip, pantaloons, and knit socks. Height: 19 inches. This doll displays well with expected wear consistent with its age. The bisque head is in good condition, and the body and limbs show typical signs of play and age-related toning.
