Mid-Century Turner Gilt Mirror & Matching Vanity/Accent Bench Charming two-piece mid-century decorative set consisting of a tall gilt-framed wall mirror and coordinating low accent table or vanity bench. The pieces display an elegant Hollywood Regency influence with warm gold finishes, graceful curves, and ornate classical detailing. The 55" tall mirror features a narrow wood frame finished in gold, embellished with elaborate scrolling foliate decoration at the crest, cascading leaf ornament along the upper sides, and a decorative urn-and-floral motif at the base. The original Turner Mfg. Co. “Turner Wall Accessory” label remains on the reverse. One small center finial at the very top is missing; because of the elaborate symmetrical ornamentation, the loss is relatively inconspicuous when displayed. The coordinating 24" wide table/bench has a molded plastic construction with an antiqued gold finish. It features a rectangular top with shaded/ombre-style coloration, decorative beaded edging, ornate corner details, and four slender cabriole-style legs. The top exhibits noticeable scratches, marks, and wear from age and use, while the legs show scattered losses and wear to the gold finish. Dimensions: Mirror: 55"H x 19"W. Table/Bench: 24"W x 11"D x 14"H. Both pieces show age-appropriate cosmetic wear and are offered together as a wonderfully decorative mid-century Hollywood Regency-style ensemble. An attractive combination for an entryway, dressing area, bedroom, powder room, or other space needing a touch of vintage glamour.
