Offered is a mixed Canadian coin lot featuring a 1974 Canadian silver piece and a 2000 Canadian $2 “Toonie.” Please review the photos carefully for the exact denomination, composition, design, and condition of the 1974 silver piece. The Canadian Toonie was introduced in 1996 to replace Canada's $2 banknote. The distinctive bi-metallic coin features a polar bear on the reverse and was designed with a patented locking mechanism joining the outer ring and inner core. The standard 2000 circulation Toonie is composed of a 99% nickel outer ring and an aluminum-bronze inner core and weighs 7.3 grams.
