1923 Standing Liberty Quarter, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This classic 90% silver quarter is a desirable issue from the Standing Liberty series and a great addition for collectors of early 20th-century U.S. coinage. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Standing Liberty Quarter was designed by sculptor Hermon A. MacNeil and was produced from 1916 through 1930. The obverse features Liberty standing with a shield and olive branch, while the reverse depicts an eagle in flight. The 1923 Philadelphia issue had a mintage of 44,339,000 coins. Philadelphia Mint examples carry no mint mark. The coin was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 6.25 grams, measures 24.3 mm in diameter, and features a reeded edge.
