1955-D Washington Quarter in Uncirculated (UNC) condition, struck at the Denver Mint. This classic 90% silver Washington Quarter is a popular issue for collectors of mid-century U.S. coinage and silver. Please review the photos for the exact luster, surfaces, strike, and overall condition. The Washington Quarter was designed by John Flanagan and was first introduced in 1932. The obverse features George Washington, while the reverse depicts an eagle with outstretched wings. The 1955-D had a mintage of 12,341,600 coins. The “D” mint mark appears on the reverse below the wreath. The coin was struck in 90% silver and 10% copper, weighs approximately 6.25 grams, measures 24.3 mm in diameter, and features a reeded edge.
