Loetz Art Nouveau iridescent art glass vase, circa 1900, of tall, slender form with an elongated tapering neck rising from a rounded bulbous body, the glass displaying a muted olive-gold ground with strong blue, violet, silver, and green iridescence concentrated around the lower body in an organic feathered or pulled pattern. The vessel is dramatically fitted with an architectural copper mount in the Viennese Jugendstil taste, incorporating two tall openwork vertical standards with angular geometric terminals, clustered decorative accents, curved lower braces, and a stylized collar framing the mouth. The combination of shimmering Loetz-style iridescence and highly linear copperwork reflects the progressive Central European decorative vocabulary of the turn of the 20th century; comparable period Loetz vessels are known with elaborate metal mounts, including copper examples. The vase appears generally well preserved with expected age-related surface wear, oxidation and patina variation to the copper mount, and minor handling marks; no obvious major cracks or substantial glass losses are visible in the supplied photographs. Measures 13.25"H x 5.25"W x 4"D.
