Loetz Art Nouveau iridescent art glass vase, circa 1900, formed in vivid emerald-green glass with a heavily textured dimpled or “Diaspora”-type surface producing a rich field of rounded impressions beneath flashes of blue, violet, and golden iridescence. The vessel is fitted with an elaborate patinated bronze mount worked in a flowing naturalistic Jugendstil manner, with sinuous stems rising around the body and terminating in modeled leaves, buds, and clustered floral blossoms, the mount extending into three broad splayed feet. The organically modeled bronze complements the undulating glass rim and strongly sculptural profile, creating a particularly decorative example of turn-of-the-century Continental art glass. A handwritten identification label remains to the underside, noting Loetz and apparently referencing the décor. Condition appears generally good with expected surface wear, minor scratches and handling marks to the glass, oxidation and patina variation to the bronze, and some interior residue; no obvious major cracks or substantial losses are visible from the photographs. Measures 7.5"H x 4"D.
