A dynamic mid-20th-century figural sculpture depicting a bare-chested Pugilatore standing in a guarded pose, one fist raised near the shoulder while the opposite arm hangs at his side. The athlete is modeled with a muscular torso, sharply defined abdominal and back musculature, close-cropped textured hair, loosely draped training trousers, and heavy boxing shoes, capturing the controlled tension and physical presence of a fighter between rounds. Cast in dark patinated metal and mounted on a square green onyx plinth with attractive natural veining. No visible artist’s signature or foundry mark is apparent from the photographs. Condition is consistent with age and display, including scattered surface rubbing, oxidation and patina variation, minor scratches, residue in recessed areas, and light abrasions and small edge losses to the onyx base. Measures 6.5"H x 3"W x 2.75"D.
