Century Furniture console table designed in the French Provincial style featuring a rectangular oak top with parquetry-inlaid borders and a shaped front edge. The base is finished in a distressed cream-colored paint and contains athree-drawer frieze. The central drawer is decorated with an inset panel featuring a carved floral basket and scrolling vine motif, flanked by two drawers with matching foliate carvings. The piece is elevated on six turned and ringed legsthat terminate in small cabriole feet and includes a full-length lower open shelf with a scalloped apron. Interior construction of the drawers shows professional joinery and a rectangular brass Century Furniture maker's plate is affixed tothe inner side of one drawer.This piece displays expected surface wear and minor finish rubbing to the front edge consistent with its age and use.
