A charming vintage wall-hanging ceramic salt box or salt cellar boasting a distinct mid-century rustic aesthetic. The semi-circular container features a structural, fluted vertical block pattern and is finished in a warm, glossy mustard-yellow glaze displaying an intentional, fine allover crackle effect. The high backplate features a rounded profile with a pre-drilled circular mounting hole designed for convenient installation directly onto kitchen walls or stove backsplashes. It is equipped with a complementary flat wooden lid that rests neatly over the rim to protect contents from ambient cooking moisture. Condition:Very good vintage condition overall. The body is free of major structural cracks or deep impact chips. The glossy yellow glaze exhibits widespread, uniform age crazing that adds to its vintage character. The unpainted wooden lid shows a naturally aged patina, faint water spotting, and edge scuffing consistent with regular domestic use in a farmhouse kitchen setup.
