A comprehensive vintage Oneida Community silver-plated flatware service showcasing a classic mid-century design with elegant, flowing scrolled borders along the handles. The extensive collection features a full array of formal place settings—including dinner knives neatly slotted in the lid, dinner forks, salad forks, soup spoons, and teaspoons. The bottom pull-out drawer securely houses essential hostess serving utensils, including a large cold meat fork, sugar spoon, gravy ladle, butter knife, and pierced tablespoon. The entire service is housed in a handsome two-tier wooden storage canteen with a dark, tarnish-resistant felt lining. Condition:Excellent vintage condition. The silver plating remains bright and heavily intact across all pieces, displaying a beautiful mirror-like luster. There is no base-metal bleed-through or heavy pitting. Minor surface scuffs and light pocket tarnish are present from gentle storage and periodic holiday use. The two-tier wooden chest is structurally sound with smooth drawer action and clean hinges, showing only typical light superficial exterior scuffs. Dimensions:Chest measures approximately 16" W x 11.5" D x 8.5" H.
