<br>L:6cm H:5cm This is an imperial porcelain cup of Qing Dynasty in bell shape, with flared rim, tapering wall and short ring foot. It is made of thin fine clay covered with translucent glossy white glaze. Pale blue double lines decorate the rim and foot. The outer wall is painted with a vigorous striding dragon amid auspicious clouds above surging sea cliffs in iron red enamel. The scales, claws and waves are finely rendered with neat sharp lines, and the iron red pigment presents steady bright tone. A square blue seal mark is stamped on the base. Dragon stands for imperial power, while sea waves symbolize everlasting realm. This cup was exclusive imperial vessel for tea and wine tasting.
