Grace Nell Hewell (1933–2016) was a highly respected Southern folk art potter and a matriarchal figure in the historic Hewell Family Pottery dynasty based in Gillsville, Georgia. Operating continuously since 1850, her family's pottery business stands as one of the oldest traditional multi-generational potteries in the region. Grace was widely celebrated for her contributions to traditional Georgia stoneware, distinct glaze techniques, and iconic, highly collectible face jugs.
