One State of Louisiana five-dollar bearer bond from the 1874 series, commonly known as a Baby Bond, with attached interest coupons payable at 7½ cents. The bond matures January 1, 1886 and bears certificate no. 489, red serial no. 93513, and theprinted name Louis A. Wiltz, Governor. A clear plastic/acrylic holder is included as shown. The paper is toned with surface soiling or discoloration, edge and handling wear, minor waviness, and two prominent cancellation or punch holes. Printeddetail is substantially legible. The far-right extent and exact number of coupons are not fully assessable because the strip is partly cropped in the photographs. Glare limits assessment of the holder. The reverse printer imprint is incomplete andunconfirmed.
