Signed and dated in pencil lower right: "Lorie Schinko 1986" Titled in pencil lower left: "The After Bath" Editioned 2/4/8 lower centre. Sight approximately 28.5 x 21 in. (framed). A striking colour etching and aquatint by Canadian printmaker Lorie Schinko, depicting a contemplative female figure reclining in a claw-foot bathtub. Richly patterned textiles, expressive line work, and restrained hand-coloured passages create an intimate domestic interior characteristic of figurative printmaking of the 1980s. Artist Biography Lorie Schinko is a contemporary Canadian artist, printmaker, painter, and sculptor. She studied at the Ontario College of Art, specializing in printmaking, etching, painting, and bronze sculpture, and also majored in ceramics at Concord University. Her work spans intaglio printmaking, painting, and ceramic sculpture, and she has exhibited extensively in Ontario.
