NO SHIPPING ~ LOCAL PICKUP ONLY > A vintage Singer Stylist Model 834 mechanical zigzag sewing machine in a white and warm ivory finish, accompanied by the original illustrated instruction manual and a Singer accessory box. The machine is labeled MADE IN POLAND ~ BY PREDOM-LUCZNIK UNDER LICENCE ~ SINGER IS A TRADEMARK OF THE SINGER COMPANY on the rear housing. Designed with a removable extension bed that exposes the free arm for sewing cuffs, sleeves, trouser legs and other tubular articles. Front-mounted controls provide selectable straight, zigzag and stretch-stitch patterns, adjustable stitch width, three needle positions, adjustable stitch length and a built-in four-step buttonhole function. Additional features include a top-mounted bobbin winder, spool pins, tension control, reverse control, presser foot and metal needle plate. The machine is shown with loose thread at the needle and appears generally complete as photographed. Model-specific manuals describe the Singer 834 as a free-arm zigzag machine with adjustable stitch length and width, multiple needle positions, stretch stitching and buttonhole capability. Introduced during the late 1970s, the Stylist 834 represents Singer’s transition from the heavier all-metal machines of earlier decades to more compact domestic free-arm models offering a broader selection of utility and decorative stitches. The straightforward mechanical controls and removable work surface made this style suitable for general garment construction, alterations, mending and household sewing. OPERATIONAL NOTE > This sewing machine has not been tested for functionality but is believed to be in working order. Before acceptance and payment, the buyer will be allowed a reasonable opportunity at pickup to test basic operational functions. Once the machine has been accepted and paid for, the sale is final with no allowance for return or refund.
