The recording was produced for use with Lynch’s electronic game caller or for practice with a mechanical duck call. Side 1 is labeled ~ LYNCH’S ~ 800-A WILD MALLARD DUCK CALLING ~ No. 1 ~ FEEDING CALLS ~ by M. L. LYNCH ~ WORLD CHAMPION BIRD AND ANIMAL CALLER ~ 306 EDGEWOOD BLVD. ~ BIRMINGHAM 9, ALABAMA ~. The label also reads ~ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED ~ and ~ APPLICATION FOR COPYRIGHT JO8W-1757 ~. Side 2 is labeled ~ LYNCH’S ~ 800-B DUCK CALLING ~ No. 2 ~ HIGH BALLS ~ by M. L. LYNCH ~ WORLD CHAMPION BIRD AND ANIMAL CALLER ~ 306 EDGEWOOD BLVD. ~ BIRMINGHAM 9, ALABAMA ~. The label also reads ~ ALL RIGHTS RESERVED ~ and ~ APPLICATION FOR COPYRIGHT JO8W-1758 ~. “High balls” refers to the loud, extended hail or attention call used by duck hunters to attract distant birds. The original folder bears the heading ~ LYNCH ~ THE GREATEST NAME IN WILD GAME CALLING ~ and identifies the sender as ~ M. L. LYNCH CO. ~ P. O. BOX 377 ~ LIBERTY, MISSISSIPPI 39645 ~. Printed illustrations advertise Lynch recordings for crow, geese, wild turkey, coon, deer, duck, great horned owl, wildcat, quail, fox and squirrel calling. The folder states that the record could be played through an electronic game caller in the field or used for practice with mechanical calls. The reverse lists the selection as ~ DUCK 800A-800B ~ and identifies other available 45 RPM recordings for turkey, coon, fox, coyote, wolves, deer, squirrels, quail, geese, hawks, owls, bobcats, wildcats, grey fox and moose. Printed instructions note that the recordings contain no spoken narration and reproduce game and bird sounds for field calling or practice. CONDITION REPORT > As shown, the paper sleeve exhibits age toning, edge wear, creases, tears and scattered staining. The record has not been played for testing but appears quite pristine.
