R Serial # NSN. .22 Sh-L-LR caliber bolt action rifle with a 19-5/8” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. Detachable 6 round magazine. Made in 1962. Part of the “Nylon Series,” this bolt action features a brown nylon stock with a spoon-type bolt handle. The blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver is in fair condition showing wear and thinning with scratches, the receiver is worn to near bare metal. The brown nylon stock is in very good condition showing scattered light scuffs and scratches. The front and rear sights have been removed and the screws filling the holes ground down. The action works fine. Includes a BSA Sweet 22 4-12x40 scope attached to the grooved receiver and extra turret caps. Total production was 22,423 between 1962 and 1964. C&R.
