Spanish Model 1893 Mauser

Serial # 4793. 7x57mm Mauser caliber bolt action rifle with a 29-1/2” barrel. The bore is good, dirty with good rifling with frosting/fouling; it may clean better. Made by Ludwig Loewe in Germany, the date of manufacture is illegible. The blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver is a re-blue and is in good to very good condition showing thinning, scratches and a covering of light freckling. There is a flat spot on the left side of the barrel where it appears some pitting was ground off. The receiver crest has been removed. The barrel bands show light freckling. The floor plate/trigger guard have been re-blued and show remnant dings and scratches. The bolt is mis-matched and the bolt handle turned down. The full-length military stock and hand guard have been refinished and are in good military condition with scattered light dings and scratches. Steel butt plate. Original military swivels. The cleaning rod is present. The action works fine. Includes a front sight protector and a leather sling.
