R Serial # P-44692. .306 caliber bolt action rifle with a 23” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling with some light fouling. The Firearms Company of England produced Mauser action rifles, possibly on Spanish made receivers, during the 1960’s and early 1970’s. The blued metal finish on the barrel is in fair to good condition showing muzzle wear, thinning and scratches. The blued metal finish on the receiver is in good condition showing edge wear, thinning and scratches. The matte black finish on the alloy floor plate and trigger guard shows edge wear, thinning and scratches. The checkered walnut stock with a contrasting nose piece and grip cap has had extra finish added and is in good to very good condition showing scattered light dings. Non-factory black rubber recoil pad. Sling swivels. Fixed rear sight with a leaf for elevation adjustment. The front sight has been removed. The action works fine.
