R Serial # V613979. .38 S&W caliber double action revolver with a 5” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. Made in early 1944. British proofs on the barrel, cylinder and frame. The arsenal blued metal finish on the barrel is in good condition showing light muzzle wear with slight thinning and scattered light scuffs/scratches. The arsenal blued finish on the fluted cylinder is in good condition showing edge wear and thinning with a light drag line. The arsenal blued finish on the frame is in very good condition showing light edge wear with some light scuffs and scratches. There is some thinning on the rear grip strap with some light surface rust freckling on the front and rear grip straps. The hammer and trigger show faded case color. The smooth walnut grips have been refinished and are in very good condition showing some light marks from use. The lanyard ring is intact. The action works fine. C&R.
