R Serial # 1110765. 6.5x50mm caliber Japanese caliber bolt action rifle with a 31-1/2” barrel. The bore is very good with strong, slightly worn rifling with some light frosting in the grooves. Made at the Koishikawa Arsenal in Tokyo in the mid-1920’s. No series markings, the receiver has the “S” proof. The blued metal finish on the barrel and receiver is in good to very good condition showing edge wear and thinning with light scratches and scattered light freckling. The trigger guard, floor plate, upper and lower tang have been aggressively cleaned to bare metal. Original front and rear sights missing. The military stock and handguard have been cleaned and are in very good military condition showing scattered light marks. The mum is intact. Steel butt plate. The numbers are mis-matched. The action works fine. C&R.
