R Serial # 4295120. .30 M1 Carbine caliber semi auto rifle with an 18” barrel. The bore is excellent, clean with strong rifling. Made in early-1944. The IBM marked barrel is not dated, but is correct for a NPM M1. Detachable 15 round magazine. The gray parkerized finish on the barrel, barrel bands, receiver, bolt, op rod and trigger group is most likely a re-finish and is in excellent condition showing little wear. The flat bolt shows heavy action wear. The low wood walnut stock and 4 rivet hand guard have been refinished and are in very good condition showing some remnant dings. The stock is marked “RMC” in the sling channel indicating Rock-Ola manufacture with a Standard Products/ RWP cartouche indicating a post-war refurbishment by Standard Products. The S/N is also stamped on the butt above the sling channel. “I” cut oiler slot. Type 3 barrel band. Adjustable type rear sight. The action works fine. Includes an M8A1 bayonet and scabbard. C&R.
