A ceramic character stein from the mid-20th century, produced in West Germany. The stein is molded in the form of a man in a green jacket and hat, holding a pipe, with a rifle slung over his back. It features a ceramic lid integral to the design, with a pewter thumblift and hinge mechanism. The underside is impressed with "WEST GERMANY" and a mold number, possibly "1894", characteristic of production in the Westerwald region.

German Beer Stein Character Lidded Ceramic Westerwald Hunter Pipe West Germany

Dust Factory Auctions offers antique and vintage items that proudly display the natural signs of their age and previous use.
