A German ceramic character beer stein by Albert Jacob Thewalt, likely from the mid-20th century. The figural stein is modeled as a portly gentleman wearing a top hat, monocle, and holding a small mug. The hinged lid, forming the character's head, is attached with a pewter thumblift mechanism. The base is stamped with the Thewalt mark, 'ORIGINAL-MODELL', and 'Germany'.

German Beer Stein Thewalt Pottery Lidded Figural Character Tobacconalia Barware

Dust Factory Auctions offers antique and vintage items that proudly display the natural signs of their age and previous use.
