This is the Department 56 North Pole Series Elsie's Gingerbread item 56398, a handpainted porcelain lighted building from the Heritage Village Collection, limited to the 1998 year of production. The half-timbered shop is marked Elsie's Gingerbread Shop and Crullers Cookies Cakes, with a green tile roof, snow accents, and a working smoking chimney feature that carried a spiced ginger scent. It measures approximately 6.5 inches tall by 6.5 inches wide. The piece shows crisp paint and no visible chips or cracks and presents in very good to excellent condition. The original box and magic smoke unit are included. A desirable single-year North Pole building. Estimated Value: $20 to $45 based on comparable recent sales. Sold as-is.
