This folding hand fan features a monture crafted from a cream-colored molded synthetic material. The guard sticks and inner sticks are decorated with pierced and low-relief scrollwork and floral designs. The leaf is made of a sheer, cream-colored tulle netting, elaborately decorated with metallic-tone sequins and embroidery. The decorative scheme consists of scalloped borders, vertical bands of spangles, star motifs, and interlocking geometric circle designs. Elongated metallic purl accents are integrated into the vertical bands. The pivot pin at the base is fitted with a silver-tone metal bail. Dimensions: Length 8 inches; Span approx. 14 inches. Condition: The fan is in good vintage condition overall. There is some age-appropriate yellowing and light discoloration to the netting, primarily visible along the folds. Minor fraying is present at the top edge of the net leaf. The structural components remain intact and functional. A modern dealer tag is attached to one guard stick.
