This group features five miniature weapon pins produced for the Winterhilfswerk (WHW) charity donation drives in Germany during the late 1930s and early 1940s. The cast-metal collection showcases ancient weapon designs, including two types of battleaxes, a war hammer, and two daggers. Three of the pieces—both daggers and one double-headed axe—are inset with bright red domed glass cabochons meant to resemble set gemstones. Measurements range from 1 to 2 inches long. The reverse sides retain their original horizontal safety pin mechanisms, with several pieces displaying raised numerical mold and series registration markings including "0.21", "H3", and "H1". All pins exhibit natural aging, surface wear, and a light white oxidation typical of vintage zinc or pot metal alloys. PM
